Collaboration, Coordination and Collective Action that Will End Disease Faster

Our Coalition is at the heart of a movement that’s closing gaps and increasing impact in the fight against HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria. It’s a movement that will end these diseases faster.

We’re turning business assets into disease-fighting assets. We’re making global health action smarter by joining the corporate sector, governments and civil society together in common cause.

It is essential, high-impact leadership that companies and their stakeholders can be very proud of.

A Business Opportunity

For a company committing assets to the fight, membership delivers well-crafted, cost-effective ways to get focus, find partners, improve effectiveness, and boost ROI.

Not every member is active on the front lines, but every member wants to help us win. To be a Coalition member is to support strategies that bring businesses, civil society, and governments together in common cause.

Members and Partners

Accor from France, Chevron from the US, and South Africa’s Standard Bank are among the nearly 200 companies that comprise the Coalition.

Through the Coalition, members link up with a network built for action and achievement. The GBC network includes such critical partners as UNAIDS; the governments of China, Kenya, and the U.S.; the Millennium Foundation. GBC also manages the private sector delegation to the Global Fund.

Help build the network. Help build the movement.

Coalition Membership: How Companies Improve Performance

Knowledge-Sharing and Joint Problem-Solving: We specialize in applied knowledge. Our products corral critical knowledge and tools in the form of online workspaces, and provide clear guidance for company action through case studies, implementation guides, and program templates. We facilitate knowledge co-creation and joint planning through working groups and round tables - which are focused on outcomes, not just intellectual exchange.

Strategy Setting: The Coalition staff provides tools and counsel for members to define their role in the fight and set the best, highest-impact priorities.

Connections, Partnerships and Networking: Partnerships take the form of one-to-one joint ventures, collective action and cost-sharing. Partners come from both the corporate and non-corporate sectors. We bring valuable partners together through networking events, working groups, special co-funding and collaborative action programs, as well as individual consultation and facilitation for members.

Awareness, Advocacy, and Communications: The Coalition organizes collective advocacy programs, which include representing business to key stakeholders. We raise visibility through our newsletters, magazine, website, and special communications. We provide tools for members' internal communications. And we conduct media relations.
